Monday, July 30th, 2007

Zack is a young boy, he is at a very rebellious age of 15, before that he was widely considered a good boy in school and mothers’ eyes.

Lately, he’s been act abnormal. First, he tries to challenge her mother for more spending money. Second, he always locked himself in his bedroom or bath room for a long time. Third, he is got suspended in school for beat a security guard.

Zack’s mother Sarah is a particular housewife who has been strict to her two kids. Yesterday, Sarah was cleaning up Zack’s room found a tiny little paper ball. Immediately, she can sense her son did something bad. She glanced nervously at the paper ball for a while, her hands started to shiver. Sarah felt impact by an intuition. She tried to adjust her mind and stay in positive.

She unfolded the wrapped paper slowly and carefully. There are some white powders in it, and it firmly proved that she was right with her intuition. It’s marijuana!

Sarah furious with anger, she went through Zack’s entire room and found a key well placed in a pen box. It’s obvious a school mini-storage key. She stayed in motionless for just few seconds. The next thing is very clear for she’s going to do. Sarah took the key and stormed out of house.

Soon, she arrived at school’s mini-storage and quickly found her son’s locker. On the locker door, some nasty pictures are sticking on. She opened the door, there are sport clothes and shoes are bundled in. She looked through those clothes and found the some same paper balls with marijuana. Sarah didn’t took the marijuana away, she put them back in the sport cloth pocket and locked the door then left the storage.

This morning, Sarah get a call from schoolmaster, the schoolmaster told Sarah, her son is going sent to the boot camp for found marijuana trafficking.

3ffc1.jpgThis morning, I get a urge call from customs company, a customs clerk from A&S told me my our cargo might delay due to factory didn’t prepare goods on time. I was badly impacted by this news. I furious with factory director lied to me, he told me everything went well for loading.

Yesterday, I booked a container from A&S Enterprises limited co., it’s a logistic company handles logistic and project management. We arranged a truck according factory’s suggestion which it’s 7 pm. The truck with the container arrived at factory around 6:30 pm and waited for goods loading. Our schedule for customs apply supposed to be done in this morning and the shipping supposed to be at this afternoon. Every schedule should be done on time otherwise the shipping time would be delay.

When I knew the factory delayed the goods packing I was shocked, and don’t know what to do about it. While I was in panic, the A&S called and said everything will be well controlled and the cargo can catch the ship. They comfort me and promised me that the driver of the truck is driving with the fastest speed on the road to container terminal in two hours.

As they promised, the Cargo caught the ship in last half hour.

I was deeply impressed by their working attitude, and they said they treat their customers as the best friends, and they said one of most treasure thing for meaningful is a friendship. Then              he facetious questioned me” what kinds of ship would never sink?” I pondered for a while, but had no idea.

Two hours ago, I called them for the answer. The manager of A&S friendly folksy said” a friendship never sink”

Logistic News

Good news for the retail industry, importers, and the U.S. economy overall: the clerical union has agreed to the employers’ final offer: “The

employers are pleased that the union recognized the substantial investment that (employers) have made and agreed to their last wage proposal,”

said Steve Berry, a negotiator for the shippers. The deal with the Office Clerical Unit, Local 63, of the International Longshore and Warehouse

Union came after an impasse in the talks was declared late Tuesday.

While some countries are enjoying the increased purchasing power of U.S. made goods thanks to the weaker dollar, export oriented economies

with simultaneously weak import growth are suffering as the cost of their goods rises. Thailand is being especially hard hit, as the Baht has

strengthened significantly against the dollar. Excerpt: Thai Silp South East Asia, a Thai garment exporter with 5,000 workers, had been struggling

financially ever since it lost one of its biggest customers last year.

It certainly makes sense, exports have been rising thanks to stronger foreign currencies: David Shepherd, BA World Cargo’s VP of commercial

activities for the Americas, told IFW: “We are certainly experiencing better demand [from the Americas] than we were seeing last year, especially

on some commodities. “We have seen much stronger demand for perishables traffic, partly due to better growing conditions, but unquestionably

it is also partly because of the weakness of the dollar.” But he said the bigger change had been a reduction in traffic in the reverse direction.

If congested Shanghai Ports were not enough for you to call your freight forwarder, perhaps Cargo News Asia’a article Crime on the rise at

Shanghai ports may be (h/t/ 3plwire). According to the article, many of the recent crimes are being committed by people from outside of

Shanghai (of course) carrying fake licenses (cost 50USD) who dupe manufacturers. In the first six months of this year, 103 people were arrested .

They rode the tricycle back to the hotel , the guest was extremely excited, an experience he won’t easily forget. When they arrived at hotel, Lin Feng immediately called A & S ENTERPRISES LIMITED (a logistic company) to arrange shipment. After studying and comparing different routes, he decided to use the

Dalian.

Next Lin Feng dismantled and packed into a wooden box. However the brake pads of the tricycle were made of asbestos they are substances embargoed by

United States, so the logistic company advised them to replace the pads made of an alternative material.

Love Your Parents

A long time ago, there was a big apple tree. A little boy loved to play with it every day. He climbed on the tree top, ate the apples, took a nap under the tree shadow … They both loved to play with each other. Time flies … the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.
One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad. “Come and play with me!” the tree asked the boy. “I am no longer a kid, I don’t play with trees anymore.” The boy replied, “I want some toys. I need money to buy them.” “Sorry, but I don t have money … but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money to buy toys.” The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad and waited for him coming back.

One day, the boy returned and the tree was very excited. “Come and play with me! “The tree said. “I don’t have time to play. I have to build my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?”
“Sorry, but I don’t have a house. But you can cut my branches to build your house.” So the boy cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the boy never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad but it was still waiting for the boy coming back.

One hot summer day, the boy returned and the tree was delighted. “Come and play with me!” the tree said.  “I am sad and not in the mood, I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” “Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.” So the boy cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

One day, the boy returned after he left for so many years. “Sorry! my boy. But I don’t have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you …”The tree said. “I don t have teeth to bite,” the boy replied. “No more trunk for you to climb on.” “I am too old for that now,” the boy said. “I really can’t give you anything … the only thing I have is my dying roots,” the tree said with tears. “I don t need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years, I just want to settle down,” the boy replied. “Good! The old tree roots would be the best place to lean on and rest. Come sit down with me and rest.” The boy sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears …
This is a story of real life. The tree is our parents. When we were young, we loved to play with Mom and Dad …When we grew up, we leave them and only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble. No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they can to make you happy. You may think the boy is cruel to the tree but that’s how all of us are treating our parents. Please be enlightened by this story and love your parents! Because of one day we will be parents too.

Life Is Do-it-yourself Project

Friday, July 27th, 2007

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer of his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by3.

The employer was sorry to see his good worker go, in instead some thankful words express his appreciation, he asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor before his leave. The carpenter said yes, but in time it was obviously to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career.

When the carpenter finished the house and the employer came to inspect the house and handed a key to the carpenter. “This is your house,” he said, “it’s my gift to you.”

What a shock! What a shame! If he had known he was building his own house, he would have done it all for his best. Now he had to live in the home he had built none too well.

The story reflected some of us. We build our lives in a distracted way, reacting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best. At important points we do not give the job with the best effort. Then with a shock we look at the situation we have created and find that we are now living in the house we have built. If we had realized, we would have done it in best way.

Think about yourself as the carpenter. Think about your house. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Build wisely. It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity. The plaque on the wall says, “Life is a do-it-yourself project.” Who could say it more clearly? Your life for tomorrow will be the result from your attitudes and the choices you make today.
